Liam's heart was breaking when Kyle thanked him for the robe, he felt pity for the young man. The fighter turned to one of the servants and quietly requested something from them while two others tended to the King and changing him into sleeping dress and under a set of covers. Dignified sleeping for a less than dignified King.
He returned to Kyle letting the servants do their job. "I'm sorry this has happened to you." It was all Liam had to offer, knowing the real nightmare had just began for Kyle. "Come, sit if you'd like. I'll start a fire." He beaconed Kyle towards the other side of room, trying his best to seem friendly. Within a few seconds a small fire ignited in the fireplace on the other side, illuminating it's contents. "Don't worry. I won't touch you, I'm a slave - like you." Liam explained sitting on the hearth of the fireplace.
A servant soon returned with a hot kettle, cups and something in small white vials. Liam took the tray from her and placed it next to him, mixing the powder in both cups with the warm chicken broth that filled the kettle. He blew on one of the cups before testing it's temperature against his lips.

Kyle watched quietly as the servants tended to their King. He was a little taken aback when Liam apologised to him, but shook his head in response. It wasn't this man's fault that he found himself in this situation. He bared to responsibility for what had happened....And what was yet to happen.
He was a little hesitant, but eventually joined the other man by the fire. He had already figured that this man was not in too different of a situation form himself based on the events that had earlier transpired. Though he did not pry further than what Liam had already told him. Instead he sat quietly, and watched what Liam was doing curiously.
In the light of the fire Kyle's eyes were almost like the ocean, a strange blue green reflecting the light of the fire. He really was a rare creature, one of perhaps a handful. If even that. It was probably more surprising that something like this had not happened to him sooner. Though that wasn't to say he hadn't been the recipient of unwanted attention or hands before.
"What are you doing?" He asked eventually, still watching keenly what Liam was doing.

The sound of Kyle speaking was like music and Liam gave him a half hearted smile. "It's chicken-broth and some medication to help one sleep. Makes the hangovers tolerable in the morning too." Again he smiled almost smitten with the fact he had someone to talk to if it had been under different circumstances. He placed the cup near Kyle, letting him decide if he wanted it or not.
"My advice is to do what he says...or else you'll down there." He motioned to a door near the kings bed that had several pad locks going down it, a tiny flap allowing those on the outside to peek into the King's darkest playscape. A room where mercy meant nothing, a room where Liam had been broken many times before.
He tested his cup again, drinking part of it before setting it down. Liam was already tired, his Master making him drink didn't help keep his hands from trembling when he shot the apple off the girls head. They trembled now but Liam occupied them by taking off the rest of his armor. "So where are you from?" Liam asked, taking off the armor, breathing a sigh of relief when he finally was free of the last of it.

It was precisely because of his voice, or rather the power behind it that Kyle often spoke as little as he could get away with. So he merely nodded when Liam explained what he was doing. "And where am I to sleep?" He asked with an almost fearful glance back at the bed where Lucius slept. When given Liam's advice his gaze shifted from the bed to the door ext to it, and he felt a chill run down his spin. Again only nodding his response. He'd already been warned that non-compliance would earn him something worse.
He turned his attention back to the fire. He wished he could drown out his fear and worry. After a little while he picked up the cup that had been placed near him, and drank the liquid down. It was bitter but he took it all down in one go. He'd always taken his medicine like that....He wished he could get this nightmare over with so quickly.
He looked up from his thoughts when asked where he was from. "A small farming town not far from this city, called Marla Fiel." He paused. "Though I didn't belong there either." He didn't really belong anywhere, though he'd never seen the sea, so he could not know that that was where he truly belonged.

"You are free to sleep anywhere you'd like." Liam hinted to numerous pieces of furniture around; many that would do a sleeping surface. He removed his tunic shirt and threw it down on a blanket that was gathered up on the floor in front of the hearth. It was were Liam had slept the past couple of nights, his Master forbidding him from sleeping on anything but the floor.
"That's pretty far from the ocean." Liam noted. He might have been a slave all his life, but he was still the son of a King, and the old King made sure the boy had a proper education in things. Thick eyelashes fluttered heavily as he was ready for sleep himself.
He rubbed his eyes with his fingers and drank the rest of the liquid, setting it back down with a yawn. "I can protect you from others in the castle, but I cannot protect you from the king." It was a solid truth. Liam sunk down onto the blanket that was on the floor, using his shirt and arm as a pillow.
"My name is Liam and I was born as a Slave to this castle. If you need anything, well..." Liam flipped over; the scars on his back hinted at the cruelty that was always just lurking around the corner. "...just let me know." He spoke over his shoulder, and then got comfortable on the cold hard floor, fighting off sleep for as long as possible.

Even as Liam said he could sleep where ever he liked, Kyle had a feeling deep down that really there wasn't much of a choice. He couldn't pretend to know what went through the King's mind, but he could make educated guesses, he could try to anticipate certain things before they happened. He didn't want to go back to the bed, but something told him he might advert some outrage if he was exactly where the King expected him to be. Then again...He might get mad to find slave in his bed.
He was snapped from his thoughts but the comment about how far from the Ocean his home town had been.
"I have never seen it," he admitted. He'd never laid eyes on the ocean, and he knew that being separated from the sea had ultimately been what had killed his mother. A true Siren could not expect a full life so far from their home, and in truth usually they were longer lived than humans. Kyle was only half, so for him it was just a deep longing for somewhere he'd never been and never seen.
He watched as Liam laid down on the blanket. In truth he'd not expected the man to try and protect him at all. "I...Understand." And upon seeing his scared back, Kyle felt that it was probably an unreasonable thing to ask. He felt a pang of sympathy, but also fear. "Thank you..."
He pulled off the robe Liam had given him previously. Leaving it on the chair as he stood. Having made up his mind and steeled what little courage he had, Kyle walked back to the bed, carefully climbing in. He didn't lay down completely on the opposite side from Lucius, but in his mind at least, far enough away. He closed his eyes, and tried not to think too much about what lay in store for him the next morning.
Though when the King woke, it would be before he did, and he'd find that asleep Kyle had the face one might describe as like and angel's.

It wasn't until he heard Kyle walk back to the Kings bed did Liam roll over, watching and listening for any suspicious movements from the floor. He had saved his Master from more than one assassination attempt and it was just out of habit he waited for one now. But when he heard the faint and even breathing of Kyle did Liam allow himself to go to sleep.
Last to go to sleep, first to wake; it was something Liam had learned early in life. More free time while his master slept. This morning he spent much of his free time watching Kyle sleep from the edge of the bed. He had never seen something quite so beautiful before, there were no words for the feelings Kyle inspired inside him. A light in this endless space he existed on.
At some point the King awoke, an eye flashing open - yet he remained unmoving. Lucius was watching his Dog stare at his gorgeous little Songbird and it wasn't long until Liam noticed his Masters unrelenting gaze. Startlement could be seen on Liam's face and he backed away, eyes lowered hoping to appease the Kings wrath by the simple gestures of submission. "Don't you need to train?" The Kings voice was low as he rose from his bed, careful as not to wake his beautiful pet. Liam stayed low to his King, bowing even lower as he retreated to tug on a string to summon the morning servants before disappearing through a giant set of glass doors into a large expansive garden foyer.
The King turned an eye to his sleeping pet, curious as to what his half-brother was looking at and was rewarded with a golden moment. The sunlight was illuminating the room with it's golden morning light, the row of giant doors were opened one by one by emerging servants, but Lucius didn't look away. If he had been a weaker man, a drunker man he would of ravished his new pet on the spot but instead paranoia won out over his lustful wishes. He leaned over his sleeping angel careful not to wake him up, inhaling the scents of last nights fireside talk on his hair of sandy blond. The King rose again and looked at the fireplace, noticing the two cups before servants took way the evidence.
Now that it was daylight one could see the row of giant glass french doors that lined the way, their peaks stained glass depictions of gods. Once again the King turned his attention to Kyle and he descended gently onto the bed next to him. He could look at him all day, but even the innocence that was before him couldn't quell the feeling of jealousy and the wanting for more. So the King began to stroke his pets face, gently tracing it as a lover would do.

Kyle was not a particularly heavy sleeper, though the careful movements of the King, and his few words to his half-brother were only enough to make the boy stir a little. Turning from laying on his back, to his side. His hair caught the light in such a way that it was almost like he had a halo of gold.
It was not just the scent of the fire the King would have caught in Kyle's hair. But faintly, the smell of the sea as well. It was faint, but there. Even though Kyle had never been there, and they were certainly nowhere close now. He would always have that saint smell, in some ways, forever pointing towards his point of origin.
It wasn't until he felt the trailing fingers on his face, that Kyle began to wake. His brow twitching a little. Slowly he blinked himself awake, pale lashes parting to reveal eyes that were like the ocean. Groggy with sleep he didn't immediately take in his situation. Though as it sank in he felt a nervousness sink in. His anxiety returning.
"G-good morning, your Majesty," he greeted quietly, but his voice just as enchanting. He wasn't sure what he should do now that he was awake. He'd hoped he'd wake before the King, but he'd never been an early riser. Least not if left to his own devices.

Liam was scolding himself for being caught ogling Kyle's beauty. Now he was feverishly trying to forget the fear he felt when he locked eyes with his Master. Wooden swords in his hands, jarred his bones when they clashed against other training swords in mock combat. There were at least 5 guards that were off duty using this time to train against Liam, a formidable enemy even out numbered. They would reset each time the battle was either won or lost by the other party.
The sounds of Liam and the guards training echoed through the gardens and into the Kings room as Kyle was waking up. "So Enchanting." Lucius replied to Kyle's voice and tucked some of the man's hair back behind his face. "I hope I didn't frighten you too badly last night, I get eccentric when I consume alcohol." The King tried to brush off his bad behavior as he got up from his bed, leading Kyle with the chain out into the warming garden.
Wooden swords clanking together and the grunt of men got louder until Lucius and Kyle rounded a hedge into an open grassy space occupied by the small group of men training and a gazebo ready to receive the King, his breakfast already waiting. Lucious made sure to take a seat where Liam could see them, pulling Kyle on to his lap and wasting no time in feeding the young man a strawberry and eating the rest of it himself.
"Kiss me....Kiss me like you love me." Lucius requested a task from his pet.

Fear flashed across Kyle's mind when he saw Lucius' hand reach towards him, though it left just as quickly when he realised the man was only tucking his hair behind his ear. The bangs that cupped the sizes of Kyle's face were usually enough to hide, or at least make less obvious the fact that his ears were unusual in shape. A full blooded siren had feathers extend out of the shell of their ears. Kyle instead had lobes which wisped out in two short prongs, almost like they were meant to be something else.
"Oh....N-no it's fine your Majesty." It was not fine. However Kyle had the distinct feeling that saying so would be a mistake. He had an idea of what Lucius' temperament might be like, but had nowhere near a full grasp of his character. He did not want to upset the cart, and so decided it was probably unwise to point out the King's faults, or do anything short of assure him he was right and correct.
He even moved gracefully as he got off the bed, when Lucius led him out to the garden, where the men were training. Occasionally the sound of wood hitting wood made him jump or flinch slightly. It was a harsh sound of which he was unused to. He glanced their way only briefly as he was led to the gazebo already laid out for the King.
He blushed a little when fed the strawberry. Though the redness in his cheeks only grew when the King instructed Kyle to kiss him. Like he loved him no less. Kyle didn't actually know what such a kiss would be like, but as he hesitated his mind went back to Liam's warning the night before. Embarrassed, yet knowing he had no real choice he leant closer to the King. Closing his eyes as he softly pressed his lips to the older man's. It wasn't passionate, it was soft and gentle, and maybe a little clumsy.
It was Kyle's first real kiss, the first one he'd 'willingly' given anyway. A lot of things Lucius did with him or to him, or even commanded him to do, would be a first. They would all belong to the King he now belonged to.

Lucius chuckled at the inexperienced peck on his lips. Feeding Kyle another strawberry, he smiled and requested another kiss. The King was toying with his virginity, again he made his slave eat a strawberry, again another kiss.
Liam kept glancing to his King and his distraction in his lap causing him to fail in his defenses every time his eyes stayed longer than they should. A blow to his shoulder and hit to the leg, all were things he easily brushed off. They weren't sparing to hurt each other, although if one wasn't careful they could be injured.
"Did you and Liam have a good talk last night?" Lucius flashed a crooked smile probing for information about what happened last night after he passed out. "He didn't touch you did he?" And as if to emphasize what he meant, the King traced a hand up the inner thigh of his slave, stopping short of the lace panties.

Kyle felt foolish, and he knew he was being toyed with in a fashion, but understood he had little choice but to play along with the King's whims. Each time he ate a strawberry, he obediently gave the man a kiss. Kyle's attention rest firmly on the man in who's lap he sat.
He tensed a little when the King enquired about the night before. He wanted to ask how he knew they had spoken. But didn't dare. Something, some instinct told him he had to be careful about what he said. Kyle tensed further when he felt the hand creeping up his inner thigh. "No your majesty." A brief pause. "He simply offered me something to help me sleep off the wine," he answered honestly. "I am...Not used to drinking it you see." This was also true. Kyle wasn't born a slave, but he hadn't been born much higher up the social ladder either.
He felt that if he spoke of the advice he'd received from Liam, that would land the other slave in hot water, and the short conversation about where he'd come from seemed inconsequential.

It didn't matter what Kyle was to say to the King, Lucius was already jealous and paranoid of the other man. The King was a fine looking man, but he wasn't what someone would call handsome or dashing, those words were always used to describe Liam and that's what lead the King to give his half-brother the scar down his right cheek.
Lucius situated Kyle so that they were both looking at the group of men training, the King resting his chin on his Slave's shoulder. "You need to be wary of that man." He pointed Liam in the middle of his five opponents. "He will ravish you," he lied whispering into those beautifully exotic ears, fingers stroking the length of the lace panties. "He's nothing but an animal..." Lucius kissed the back of his neck.
"Tell me...He touched you. Tell me he damaged you." Gentle kisses on the back of his slaves neck enticed him to fib. "It would please me." The King was watching Liam with a special hatred, even as the erection grew against Kyle's back.

Kyle looked in Liam's direction even as he was told to be wary of him. The lies felt like poison.....Like a snake whispering in his ear. He already knew them to be lies, or at least so far Liam had done nothing to prove himself the type of character the King was trying to make him out to be. The kisses pressed to the back of his neck filled Kyle with a chill. He tried to ignore the fingers stroking the lace of the panties he wore. Still he said nothing to try and defend Liam, for both of their sakes really.
"Y-yes your Majesty," he said mostly to show that he was listening. Making a mental note to keep his distance. Not because he thought Liam dangerous, but because the King clearly was. Clearly he didn't like the idea of the two slaves getting close, though Kyle could not see it as possessiveness of jealousy yet. He did not have a good enough measure of either man to tell.
He tensed up even more when goaded to lie. He did not what to tell such an obvious lie. He didn't want to see someone else get hurt on his account.
"Y-you want me to lie your Majesty?" It was an uncertain question. The King couldn't know that Kyle had been punished quite harshly as a child by his father, when the man even so much as suspected him of lying. He didn't like lies. Still the King might hurt Liam regardless, Kyle realised. Maybe if he said this one thing, it would drive something of a wedge between himself and the other slave. If he did this one bad thing, would it prevent more in the future?
Kyle took a deep breath to steady himself. "He..." A pause. "He.....did your majesty." He felt disgusted with himself for even saying that much.

"That wasn't so hard, now was it?" Lucius loved he had the power to make people lie. You could always tell who was most loyal, or the most afraid around him, when one was asked to lie. As Kyle told the King's fib, Lucius tightened his grip on his pet's shoulders, kissing his neck before giving it a little nip with his teeth. Kyle was such an innocent looking thing and anything from his lips seemed like divine truth. Lucius let his pet off of his lap, "Stay." It was a simple command that the King expected to be obeyed.
Liam and the Guards were still busy training as the King stalked over to them. When he got closer Lucius angrily took one of the wooden swords from the guards, shoving him aside. The other guards stopped their sparring, each taking a step back from the king as he brought the training sword back ready to unleash a powerful blow.
The sudden halt of the guards quickly garnered Liam's attention and as he pivoted around he saw the face of his Master, before being cracked across the side of the face by the King's blow. It had him on the ground as he recoiled from the shock. His ears were ringing, unable to keep the confusion off his face when he looked up to his King who grabbed him by the tuff of his hair making him look at Kyle. "I don't like you touching my things.....They are MY THINGS!" He spat and shouted in his face. All this anger and rage toward Liam had always been there, he just wanted an excuse to express it - to make it clear to his old slave that he wasn't allowed to get friendly with the new pet.
Liam looked at Kyle, the Kings words ringing loud and clear through his aching skull. Something inside sparked in Liam and he looked at the King and before he knew it the words were spilling out of his mouth. "But your mother rather enjoys my company." The Fighter sassed his Master, who flew into a horrid rage punching Liam in the face several times before throwing him to the ground with a final swift kick. Liam laid in the ball in the grass awaiting more of his Master's wrath, which didn't come. The King shook out his pain in his hand as he walked back to Kyle.
"Well that takes care of that. You should of seen him watching you as you were sleeping...such as the wolf before eating the lamb." The chuckled as the same predatory look filled his eyes when he looked at his Songbird.
